Terms Of Service

The terms on which we accept a booking, what each of us commits to, and what happens when plans change.

These terms are between you and Chauffeurs World Private Limited. These terms apply to every journey we arrange. They are written to be read rather than to be survived, because a client who cannot tell what they have agreed to has not really agreed to anything. Where a term exists to protect you it says so, and where a term exists to protect us it says that too.

In Detail

A Booking Is A Request Until We Confirm It

Submitting the form does not create a contract and does not commit you to a payment. A named person reviews every request against real chauffeur and vehicle availability and comes back to you to confirm it. Nothing is auto-assigned, which is why we can commit to a specific chauffeur rather than to whoever happens to be free on the day.

Payment Is In Full, In Advance, After We Confirm

There are four stages and they happen in this order. You send a request, and nothing is payable. We confirm that the journey can be provided. We then ask you to pay the whole of the confirmed quoted fare in advance, as one payment rather than a deposit. Your booking is fully confirmed once that payment has been received, and that is the point from which the cancellation and refund rules apply. One exception follows an hourly engagement: where the car travels beyond the mileage allowance included in your quote, that additional mileage is billed after the journey at the rate confirmed with your booking. A transfer or an airport journey carries no such adjustment.

You Book A Class, Not A Registration

You choose a vehicle class — executive saloon, first class, executive SUV — and we provide the model stated or a directly equivalent one, prepared to the same standard. We do not guarantee a particular registration, because a car taken off the road for maintenance should never become your problem.

Changes And Cancellations

Plans change, and the earlier you tell us the easier it is to absorb. Cancel 24 hours or more before your scheduled pickup time and you are refunded in full. Cancel less than 24 hours before it, or do not travel, and the full fare applies. If we or the operator fulfilling your journey cancel a confirmed booking and cannot provide the service agreed with you, you are refunded in full. Where we can move the timing, the route or the vehicle instead, the booking continues and there is nothing to refund. The cancellation and refunds notice sets all of this out on its own page.

Waiting Time And Delays

Waiting time is built into every booking. For an airport collection, give us the flight details when you book and tell your contact if your plans change, so the collection can be re-arranged around your arrival. If a journey overruns, your chauffeur stays with you and the additional time is charged at the rate confirmed with your booking.

What We Ask Of You

Give us accurate collection details and a number a chauffeur can reach on the day. Do not ask a chauffeur to exceed a speed limit or a driving-hours limit; they will decline, and that is us working correctly rather than failing you. Anything left in a vehicle is returned to you, and we hold it securely until it is.

If Something Goes Wrong

Tell us, and tell us early. Raise it with your contact or with the Private Office and we will investigate it properly, tell you what we found, and say what we are changing. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer where consumer law applies to your booking.

In Short

These terms are a summary of how we work, and your written confirmation carries the particulars of your own journey — the fare, the timing, the vehicle and the arrangements for settling it. Where the two differ on those particulars, the confirmation applies. The cancellation and refund rules are the exception: they are the same for every booking and are not varied by a confirmation.
