One Figure, Inclusive Of Everything
The total you are shown is the total: inclusive of VAT and of every charge that applies to your journey, including airport supplements and any road or congestion charge the route incurs. There is no booking fee, no service charge and no card fee added at any later point. We quote one number because a client comparing two quotations should be comparing the same thing.
Priced In Pounds Sterling
Fares are quoted and settled in pounds sterling. Where your card or account is held in another currency, your own bank sets the rate and may add its own charge; neither is ours and neither is visible to us.
The Price Is Calculated By Us, Not By The Form
Your fare is computed on our own systems from the journey you asked for — the route, the vehicle, the duration, the time of day — and recorded against your booking as it stood when you submitted it. The figure cannot be altered from the browser. If a quotation needs a person to look at it, the form says so rather than producing a number nobody stands behind.
How That Payment Is Taken, Today
This site does not yet take payments online. There is no payment provider connected to it, so the booking form asks for no card number, no expiry and no security code, and none could be submitted even deliberately. Chauffeurs World holds no card details of yours anywhere. Until online payment is available, a coordinator arranges the advance payment with you directly when they confirm your journey. When online payment is introduced it will be handled by a regulated payment provider, your card details will pass from your browser to that provider rather than through us, and this page will name the arrangement before it is live.
Nothing Is Payable When You Send The Request
A submitted booking is a request, not a booking. No payment is taken at that point, nothing is held against a card, and you are not committed to anything by sending it. A coordinator reviews the request against the chauffeurs and vehicles genuinely available for your date and comes back to you.
The Full Fare, In Advance, Once We Have Confirmed Availability
When we have confirmed that the journey can be provided, we ask you to pay the whole of the confirmed quoted fare in advance. It is one payment of the full amount rather than a deposit, made before the journey rather than on the day, and the figure is the same all-inclusive total you were quoted. You see it before you are asked for anything.
By-The-Hour Journeys That Run Further Than Planned
An hourly engagement includes an allowance of mileage within the fare, which covers the great majority of journeys booked this way. If the car ends up travelling further than that allowance, the additional mileage is billed after the journey at the rate confirmed with your booking — it is the one charge that can follow an hourly hire rather than being settled in advance, and your confirmation tells you what the allowance and the rate are before you commit. A transfer or an airport journey has no such adjustment: the advance payment is the whole of it.
Your Booking Is Confirmed Once That Payment Succeeds
The booking becomes fully confirmed when the advance payment has been received. Until then the journey is reserved for you only as far as our confirmation of availability goes, and we will tell you plainly where a booking stands if you ask. The cancellation and refund rules begin to apply from the point the booking is confirmed.
If Something Is Charged That You Did Not Expect
Tell us. Where additional time or an added stop was agreed on the day, it is charged at the rate confirmed with your booking and will be itemised to you. Where a charge is wrong, we correct it. Nothing on this page limits your rights as a consumer where consumer law applies to your booking.
