Modern Slavery Statement

The steps we take to satisfy ourselves that there is no forced or compulsory labour in our operation or our supply chain.

Chauffeuring sits in an industry where subcontracting is normal and visibility is often poor. A booking passed from one operator to another to a third can end with a driver nobody in the chain has met, on terms nobody in the chain has seen. That structure is where labour exploitation in this sector lives, and avoiding it is the reason we operate the way we do.

In Detail

We Employ And Vet Our Own Chauffeurs

The chauffeur who collects you is one of ours: recruited by us, background-checked by us, trained by us and paid by us. There is no intermediary between the person driving and the company answering for the journey.

Partners Are Chosen, Not Aggregated

Outside those cities we work through a small number of operators we have selected ourselves. We ask them how their chauffeurs are engaged and paid, we require that they hold the same standards we do, and we do not pass work to an operator we have not assessed. We also tell you when a journey is being run by a partner rather than pretending otherwise.

Driving Hours Are A Welfare Limit, Not Only A Safety One

We hold firm limits on driving hours and we will decline work rather than stretch a chauffeur past them. A schedule that can only be met by someone working unsafely long hours is a schedule we will not accept, and saying so is part of what this statement is for.

Raising A Concern

Any chauffeur, member of staff or partner can raise a concern about working conditions directly with us, and we will investigate it. We would rather lose a partner than keep one we cannot vouch for.

In Short

This statement describes how the operation is structured and what we require of the partners we work with.
